セイコーゴールデングランプリ陸上2017年5月21日開催。100mにリオ五輪銀メダルのガトリン出場！

今年もセイコーゴールデングランプリ陸上がやってきます。

川崎で行われる同大会は、毎年世界のトップアスリートが集うレベルの高い大会です。

陸上の花形種目である100mではオオリンピック銀メダリストのジャスティン・ガトリン(アメリカ)も同大会に出場することを表明しています。

100mにアメリカのガトリンが出場

ガトリン選手といえば、年齢を増すごとに成長を遂げているベテランアスリートという印象が強いですね。35歳という年齢を感じさせないほど素晴らしい走りを見せてくれるでしょう。

ガトリン選手は2015年に9秒74を記録しているトップアスリートです。３０歳を超えてから自己記録を出しています。そのもっと前はドーピング検査に引っかかってしまい、6年もの間、陸上競技の大会に出場できないという時代を過ごしてきました。

その間、高校で生徒に陸上を教えていたと言います。その６年の間に太ったりして、一時期、陸上選手として復帰はしないのではないかという時期もありましたがベテラン選手になった今でも、6年間の空白を埋めるようにアスリートとして世界と戦っているように思います。

また、今回のセイコーグランプリ陸上の100mではでは、アジアの選手にも注目するべきです。

近年調子を上げている中国勢も参戦します。

アジア出身者で初の9秒台となる蘇 炳添選手。跳躍系の種目では走高跳に2015年の世界陸上の銀メダリストである張 国偉選手も出場が決定しています。

今年もセイコーゴールデングランプリ陸上では数々のメダリストが出場し、大会を盛り上げてくれることでしょう。
