真面目すぎる選手は弱い。スポーツを楽しむ選手ほど強くなる。

スポーツを楽しんでやれる選手は強い。ずっと真面目な人って、練習が目的になってしまう傾向にあるから。で、練習が目的になるとメニューをこなす事しか考えられなくなります。

本来の目的は記録を伸ばす事なのに、練習が目的にすり替わっている人は意外に多い。記録がいい選手や結果が出せている選手はいつも楽しんでる。スポーツを人生のすべてと捉えて成長できる真面目な人はもちろんいます。

一方でプライベートも楽しんでスポーツも楽しんだ上で一流のアスリートとして結果を出せている人も世の中にはいます。陸上なんて特にそうですが、初心者の頃は面白いように記録が伸びて、真面目にやればやるほど結果がついてくる。

でも選手としてある程度成長してくると今までの努力じゃどうにもならない領域がある事を知る。おそらく、その時に真面目にやる人と楽しんでスポーツをやれる人に差がついてくるんだと思う。

真面さは時には冷静さを失い、決めた事はやらなきゃいけないっていう視野の狭さを生み出してしまうのがもったいない。選手として成長したから、本当は成長したなり見合ったトレーニング方法があるのだけど、視野が狭いから気付けないでいる。

結局、真面目すぎる人は真面目すぎて変化すべきところで変化できず、現状維持のまま消えていく。スポーツを楽しんでやれる人は、楽しんでるから周りに人が集まって仲間と一緒に成長し、やっぱり楽む。
